A. i remember doing this about a year ago,ok look at the mechanism at this website:ie benzene exactyl the same applies except with ferrocene the double bond of the above cyclopentadiene will act like the double bond on the benzene ring in the above mechanism. try that out and i'm sure the mechanism will work...i hope that makes sense and helps here is a link to the structure of ferrocene...

What is the mechanism called that opens the trunk of the car?
Q. Well I am trying to build my own trunk door for a car. I was wondering the names of the mechanism of the circular thing on the two side of average trunk on a car are called. They are the ones that make the releasing noise when you open the trunk. If you happen to know prices to them, that would be helpful as well. Thanks.

A. It sounds like you talking about a trunk latch . cost $25-$100 depending if it is power release or just opens with a key then you have henge's that let it open .they connect to the back of the lid and to the car body .. then you label the deck lid .. that is all the parts to a standard trunk
